Device Requirements
This document defines the minimum technical requirements for end-user devices to run IntelliProve, including Face Scan and Health Dashboard.
General
Requirement | Specification |
|---|---|
Device release date | 2020 or later |
Operating system | Latest stable version |
Browser | Latest stable version |
Memory | >= 4GB RAM |
Camera
The plugin relies on the browser MediaDevices API (getUserMedia) to access the front-facing camera. The camera must meet the following specifications:
Requirement | Specification |
|---|---|
Type | Front-facing camera |
Minimum resolution | 1280 Γ 720 px (720p) |
Minimum frame rate | 30 fps |
Lighting
It is important to perform the recording in a well lit room. A lighting of at least 300 lux is recommended. As a commitment to maintaining a quality-first approach, we refrain from delivering results when accuracy cannot be guaranteed due to unmet input requirements. In such cases, the Face Scan plug-in provides clear guidance on how to improve conditions or perform the measurement correctly. If requirements still cannot be met due to factors outside the userβs control βΒ such as slow internet or poor lighting βΒ the plug-in will let you know, allowing you to handle the situation gracefully.
Browser
The browser must support the following web APIs:
API / Feature | Purpose |
|---|---|
MediaDevices (getUserMedia) | Camera access for video capture |
WebSocket (WSS) | Real-time frame streaming to the backend |
postMessage API | Communication between plugin iframe and host page |
<iframe> Permission Policy (allow="camera") | Required for camera access within the embedded iframe |
Compatible browsers (latest stable version recommended):
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
- Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)
Network
A stable internet connection is required throughout the entire scan session. The plugin streams video frames continuously to the backend via a WebSocket connection; an unstable or interrupted connection will terminate the session.
Display
Requirement | Minimum |
|---|---|
Viewport width | 330 px |
Viewport height | 480 px |
Permissions
Camera permission must be explicitly granted by the user in the browser. If denied, the plugin presents an option to retry the permission request. The measurement cannot proceed without camera access.
